The fantastic and occult elements of “Come Hell Or High Water” are all taken from authentic medieval and early modern handbooks of magical practice, records of witchcraft accusations or trials, or folk rituals. Many of the chapters set in 1350s Prague incorporate elements of local legends and tales set in Prague or the Czech countryside.
